Paris based solo electronic artist James Kent (Perturbator) was victim to a music gear theft mid-tour.

The incident happened in San Francisco with the stage gear taken from a touring vehicle. The gig that night was at venue DNA Lounge.

Perturbator posted the theft news via Facebook and polled fans for any owners of a Prophet 6 synth and a Moog Sub 37 to lend their gear. Fan response was so positive for the remaining four tourdates gear was prebooked within 24 hours.

The Perturbator tour continues at Chicago (January 11), New York City (Jan. 12), Montréal (Jan. 13) and Boston (Jan. 14) albeit with adhoc stage effects.

Perturbator is signed with Helsinki label Blood Music. James “Perturbator” Kent is son of former UK rock critic Nick Kent who was immortalised in Adam and the Ants’ song “Press Darlings”.
