Helen Marnie (Ladytron) completes solo work

Helen Marnie from Ladytron has launched her solo career. Her Pledgemusic campaign for her debut (title tba) is still running (at 133% now) and the album produced by Ladytron’s Daniel Hunt is expected in March. After 5 studio albums with Ladytron, Marnie decided to use the spare time in between Ladytron albums to make an album of her own.
- I decided to fly to Iceland to record in a studio there. The light is so pretty, the air fresh, the sea vast, that I thought it would be the perfect setting to record, she says.
Helen Marnie was born in Glasgow in 1978 and is a classically trained pianist. She has a BA in pop music.
