Advanced Art is a Finnish band from Tampere, that we followed in Release in the 80:s and 90:s. After releasing a bunch of singles and two albums they disbanded, but now Artoffact is bringing us some of the old material again.
On October 13, the band celebrates their 30th anniversary, and that’s also the date we can expect “Darkhive: The Tape & Vinyl Years” which is a collection of rare 7″ material, and tracks from the “Scar” 12″. The track list was selected together with Jana and Vince, who make up the creative core of Advanced Art. This marks the first official Advanced Art release in 17 years and will be made available on vinyl and digital download. First copies of the record are on solid white wax, limited to 100 copies, while the black vinyl is limited to 200 copies.
It’s unclear if more re-releases are coming, but the band hints about digital releases on their Facebook page.
