S.P.O.C.K “Best of” compilation is here

Swedish synthpop act S.P.O.C.K signed with Toronto’s Artoffact label a while ago and the first release is a “Best of” compilation called “Another Piece of the Action – The Best of the SubSpace Years”. As the title suggests, the product only features tracks from when they were signed to SubSpace Communications. Their early Energy Rekords material is not available on Spotify either. Some compilation tracks are included in rare single or EP versions.

S.P.O.C.K will also play in North America for the first time in ages, at the Kinetik festival on May 20, where the first copies of the CD will be sold.

The Kinetik festival in Montreal, Canada, takes place on May 17-20 and this year Haujobb, Combichrist, Beborn Beton, Grendel, Hocico, Blutengel, E-Craft and Nachtmahr are part of the line-up.

When I visited the Electrixmas festival in Sweden in December 2011, S.P.O.C.K premiered new catchy songs, member Crulle-E said goodbye and a new member had joined the band. This is one of many line-up changes through the years, with Alexander “Android” Hofman being the only original member.
