Eddie Bengtsson and Joakim Montelius in 70:s cover charity project
Dec 2012 07

Eddie Bengtsson (Page, SMPJ, ex-S.P.O.C.K) invited colleagues like Joakim Montelius (Covenant, pic above), Diskodiktator and Compute to record electronic versions of 70:s songs by artists like Sweet, Hawkwind, Deep Purple, Neil Young and Sly & The Family Stone. The project was Eddie Bengtsson’s idea and evolved around musicians in his closed Facebook VIP group Electronically Yours. Bengtsson gave each artist a song to record and Montelius mastered the finished compilation. On “Friends of Electronically Yours – The Seventies Revisited” (out in 1 week) we get 15 tracks (CD and digital). The CD version comes with a 20-sided 7″ sized booklet.

The profit from the CD, download and streams will be delivered to the Swedish charity organisation Musikhjälpen (clean water for children).

Some of the artists will perform together at the Malmö festival elextriXmas on December 15 alongside Aesthetic Perfection, Henric de la Cour, Icon of Coil, [:SITD:] and Jäger 90.
