Karl Bartos delves deep into his archives

Nuclear power is always a hot topic for discussion. “Atomium” is the huge iron crystal model in Brussels, erected for the World Fair of 1958. How does an iron crystal sound?, Karl Bartos asks on his new single “Atomium”. Not the obvious theme for a single but then again 60 year old Bartos is an ex-Kraftwerkian.

During the 2 year process of making the new 12-track album “Off the Record” Bartos delved deep into his music archives of hundreds of tapes and digital media files. The result will see the light of day in March.
