The last electriXmas was not the last

Last year’s electriXmas festival in Malmö, Sweden, was supposed to be the last but now the organizers say they have been encouraged to carry on.

-  After careful consideration and discussion with our host and partner Plan B, as well as based on the feedback and support received during the 2025 event we have been encouraged to run electriXmas again in 2026. As the foremost live venue in Malmö, the collaboration and partnership with Plan B has given us a whole host of new possibilities for the continued production of electriXmas, they write in a press release.

The popular synthpop, EBM, industrial, post-punk and darkwave fest has been an important part of the Scandinavian synth culture since 1992 (if you include its predecessor Virtual X-Mas). The 2026 fest will be held on December 12 and early-bird festival tickets are now available. No live acts have been announced yet.
