Swedish synthpop act Thermostatic will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut album “Joytoy” with a special live show at Musikens Hus in Gothenburg on May 16.
Expect a full performance of the classic album, containing tracks like “As Stars We Belong”, “Private Machine” and “Metal Skin”. Notably, while Thermostatic has released tracks intermittently and played occasional shows in recent years, this Gothenburg gig will mark the first time some of the “Joytoy” tracks will be performed live in two decades.
In other news, Johannes Hedberg and Daniel Vadestrid of Thermostatic are currently focusing their creative energies on their renowned ambient project Carbon Based Lifeforms. Meanwhile, Louise and Peter Marchione are busy in the studio recording an EP with their project Coppia, set for release this spring. Coppia will also make their live debut at the Subkult festival this summer.
