The new EBM and synthpop Westcoast Open Air festival in Backamo, 70 km from Gothenburg, was initially set for August 28-29, 2015. This is the Electronic Summer weekend since a couple of years back and Electronic Summer 2015 is scheduled for August 27-29.
In addition, another outdoor festival in southern Sweden with a similar profile, Kalabalik På Tyrolen, is one week before that.
Now Westcoast Open Air has been moved to June 26-27. Most of the bands but not all will follow; those who can’t will be replaced.
The headliners before the date change were Leaether Strip (oldschool set), The Invincible Spirit, Plastic Noise Experience, Vomito Negro, Parade Ground, Tyske Ludder, Jäger 90, Klutae, Cygnosic and Sista Mannen På Jorden.
Kalabalik På Tyrolen 2014 kicks off in Alvesta on Friday with bands like Rummelsnuff, Keluar, She Past Away and KVB.
