Subkult (Trollhättan, Sweden) is the latest festival to cancel and point the visitors to 2021 instead – they announced this today. The majority of all summer festivals are cancelled due to the corona pandemic but some, like Leipzig’s huge Wave Gotik Treffen apparently hasn’t given up yet.
WGT is only five weeks from now and visitors scratch their heads. The organisers have posted a statement and Q&A, while sites like Festivalsunited.com claims WGT is cancelled.
Among the previously announced cancellations we find Amphi, M’era Luna, Roskilde, Rock am Ring, Glastonbury, Rewind and Wacken. A small amount festivals have moved to a later 2020 date, like Coachella and Primavera. Late summer like Kalabalik på Tyrolen and Way Out West still hope for the best.
