Covenant steps in for VNV Nation

Covenant stepped in for VNV Nation at Castle Party in Poland yesterday and will also replace them at the Amphi Festival in Cologne. VNV Nation has been forced to postpone and cancel several festival shows.

Ronan Harris:

-  I’ve been dealing with bad back pain at random times for over a year now. I’d managed, so far, it but it had become more frequent over the last few weeks. After a string of specialists, theories and scans over the last 12 months, the very elusive cause was only discovered very recently and I had to have an operation last week to fix the problem. Knowing what had caused it, if I’d waited, there was a high chance of being in agony during a show as well as the risk of causing further damage which wouldn’t be a good show for anyone – not for me or you. My specialist told me at the end of last week that I need some weeks to recover. In parallel, I have to start 4 months of special physiotherapy to get me back to 100%.

Covenant:

- Before anything else, we’d like to wish Ronan a full and speedy recovery. We look forward to seeing VNV Nation back on stage again soon. We feel humbled to have been invited to perform again at Castle Party tonight and Amphi Festival next weekend.

The planned dates Hamburg and Chemnitz in December will still take place.
