After a long hiatus for five years, Norwegian industrial artist Mortiis returned in 2015 with his album “The Great Deciever”. Now he’s back with a remix album.

“The Great Corrupter” is an interesting remix project with lots of recognizable names behind the mixes such as Rhys Fulber, Chris Vrenna, Die Krupps, John Fryer, Godflesh, Merzbow, Apoptygma Berzerk, In Slaughter Natives, Raison d’Etre, Je$us Loves Amerika, Pig and more. As if that’s not enough, there are also new original songs.

“The tracks on this album are very broad,” Mortiis says in the press release. “They range from retro sounding, heavy industrial to very deep ambient type music to electronic/industrial club type stuff.”

It will be available on April 21, both digitally and on physical formats such as CD and vinyl. A free download single will be made available on January 23, featuring a hardhitting remix by Die Krupps and a non-album remix by Leæther Strip.

To coincide with the release of “The Great Corrupter”, the band is going on a co-headling tour with Pig in the UK.
