Jan Dewulf in dark electro project Mildreda has been working diligently on new material since the last album “I Was Never Really There”, and now we can hear the first hints of what it’s going to sound like. The new album is called “Blue-Devilled” and hits all good record shops on December 1. You can already hear the first single “Friendly Fire” though, just scroll down a bit. Jan Dewulf comments thusly on the new song:
- Dark, furious and devilish, every fiber of “Friendly Fire” is charged with what I believe is the true DNA of Mildreda. As this song represents our very essence, I believe that it serves perfectly as the first single to announce our new album.
The album is a philosophical concept album about hell, Dewulf has a degree in philosofy, and is described as more varied than its predecessor. It comes out on Dependent as a limited 60 page artbook including CD and bonus CD.
