The Mirror has analysed various song lyrics with best selling bands from the UK. They came to the conclusion that Depeche Mode have the most sophisticated lyrics, with Pet Shop Boys not far behind.
They “calculated how many years would have to be spent in education in order to understand” the lyrics. 10,3 years in education was apparently required for the average Depeche Mode song.
