Amphi Festival is soon upon us for its 14th edition, at Tanzbrunnen in the center of the fair area in Cologne. They invite fans and supporters of the dark scenes to a massive “family gathering” on the flood banks of the river Rhine.
More than 40 acts from the EBM, electro, synthpop, gothic and medieval scenes will perform in front of 13 000 festival goers on three stages during last weekend of July. Among the headliner bands you will find And One, OMD, Oomph! and ASP.
As usual there are pre-festival partys and the official Call the Ships to Port party at the canal boat MS RheinEnergie offers a night with Covenant, Suicide Commando and Eisfabrik. Or you’ll visit the official pre-party at Tanzbrunnen with DJ:s Sven Friedrich (Solar Fake) and Daniel Graves (Aesthetic Perfection) to mention a few.
Release is on location to conduct interviews and will hopefully have the opportunity to sit down with a few acts at the festival.
