Under the headline “Grufti-wunder” German magazine Bild.de tells the story behind Das Ich frontman Stefan Ackerman’s tragic illness. We learn that the 42-year old had no less than 7 brain hemorrages. Friends and relatives were asked to say farewell. We already knew that he was in a coma and had countless major surgical operations. But against all odds he came back and even returned to the stage in Sweden a couple of weeks ago.
Today, Ackerman and Pirate Party candidate Bruno Kramm perform a calm and poetic Das Ich set at Wave Gotik Treffen in Leipzig.
