Belgian label Alfa-Matrix celebrates 20 years this year, and has just released a massive compilation to celebrate.
The 60 track compilation “MatriXX – 20 Years of Alfa Matrix (Best of Electro, Synthpop, EBM, Darkwave)” includes artists such as Bruderschaft, Unter Null, Ayria, Pouppée Fabrikk, Front 242, Mentallo & the Fixer, Nitzer Ebb, and many many many many more. - We quickly realized how much we had underestimated this challenge of shrinking a repertoire of over 12.000 songs to 60 tracks in total especially considering that we have actually worked with more than 60 different bands and projects through the years… to say the least, this was an incredible and yet fulfilling task to achieve!, says Séba Dolimont, one of three label owners.
