23 years later – a new album from UK techno / EBM duo Empirion
Jun 2019 18

In April 2018 we wrote about UK techno / EBM duo Empirion’s comeback and they promised to release their new album “Resume” “soon”. Now it’s finally set for a release on August 23 via Dependent Records.

Empirion was part of the UK dance scene in 90:s and but took a break – that lasted two decades. Since they’ve always had one foot in the industrial and EBM genre, they have another listener base than most other dance acts that come and go. For instance, they just played Wave Gotik Treffen in Leipzig and Oz also has the Kloq project.

- It took us over 20 years to get our heads back in the game, We will never forget our partner in crime “Bobby Glennie” who left us far too early just like many other fallen warriors. We were left totally lost all them years ago, just couldn’t see a future for Empirion without him. We are happy and proud to finally be releasing new material, Oz Morsley and Jamie Smart say.

Pre-sales have started and the most exclusive version will be the 36 page hardcover artbooks edition with a 6-track bonus CD (limited edition of 300 copies).

They released a double single last year (we premiered the video for the main track “I am Electronic”) and below you can listen to another new piece of music, with a small contribution from Sunscreem’s Lucia Holm.
