Dan Söderqvist from Twice a Man has just released a dark and personal solo album: “Eight Songs Evoked in Winter Sleep”.
- These songs were not suitable for either Twice a Man or Cosmic Garden Project, as they are more personal and communicate in ”I” format instead of ”we” format. The music is also slightly different from how I use to sound in the bands, he explains.
The music is very atmospheric, yet structured and some tracks exist in the borderline between being awake and asleep. The creation has been a therapeutic process.
- Staying calm in a burning world is not easy, Dan Söderqvist says. We are seeing a world that is literally on fire this summer. I am not blind to all horrors going on in the world. It makes me sad and I feel desperation and grief of how the world is turning. I do wish for a better future for us all, including all living beings on this planet. To create these songs has been a therapy and has helped me to keep my sanity.
