New Apoptygma Berzerk album in the making; EP in 4 days
Aug 2013 05

August 9 is the digital release date for the new Apoptygma Berzerk EP “Major Tom”. “Major Tom (Coming Home)” is a Peter Schilling cover from 1983 that has been played live for some time. Plastic Bertrand recorded a different version with different lyrics in French also in 1983 and Major Tom is of course the famous David Bowie character.

The EP also contains the first Apoptygma Berzerk song in 4 years: “Dead Air Enz” as well as remixes from Technomancer, People Theatre, Angst Pop and Code 64, that just split up. The EP will come as a CD and a 12″ on September 3. The white 12″ vinyl version will be limited to 400 copies.

Apoptygma Berzerk’s Stephan Groth is working a new album but we have no further information.

Apoptygma Berzerk will play at the M’era Luna festival in Hildesheim on August 11 and at the Electronic Summer festival in Gothenburg on August 31.
