Electronic re-interpretations on new cover EP by Lønnkrog

Lønnkrog (means speakeasy) is the electronica project by Brotherhood vocalist Micke Lönngren, who uses a Martin Gore-inspired angle when presenting music under this pseudo.

With the new EP “Förfalskad” we are presented 6 covers, in a very Martin Gore-y approach. The title actually translates into ”Counterfeit” in English (Gore released the 6 track ”Counterfeit E.P.” in 1989). The selected songs are originally written by non-electronic artists: The Only Ones, Peter Murphy, Lucinda Williams, The Church and the Edgar Broughton Band.

The release was mastered by Peter Bjärgö, familiar to Release readers mostly for his Arcana project – one of the most successful acts on the legendary Cold Meat Industry label.
