ROBERT GÖRL
FINAL METAL PRALINÉES
ALBUM DISKO B RELEASE: JANUARY 26, 2000 REVIEW: JANUARY 17, 2000

I’m quite sure "Final Metal Pralinées" may work as a threshold into paranoia or schizophrenia for some people. God knows I almost went nuts after hearing Görl’s latest production. It gives the word monotonous a whole new meaning. It also projects the image of a man leaving his machines on for the day while leading his everyday life, then coming back to retrieve the achieved recording, giving it to his record company without even listening to it. It’s just simple patterns of music, minimally varied and with no sense of interesting ideas. Nothing grabs a hold of you. Just irritates.
