POUPPÉE FABRIKK
YOUR PAIN – OUR GAIN
ALBUM ENERGY RELEASE: NOVEMBER 1, 1999 REVIEW: NOVEMBER 15, 1999

I used to like Pouppée Fabrikk in the beginning when they were an EBM band. Time passed by and I craved for more qualitative music. Since this band has always made simple and untalented music I preferred to forget about them. The sad thing is that they don't seem to make any progress, unless you consider boring metal guitars to be progress.
Thrash and death metal guitars, vocals reminding me of orcs and some simple electronics is what you hear.
The material is previously unreleased but not new. “Your Pain – Our Gain” has been delayed for as much as several years.
Apart from the studio material, Energy has filled out the CD with a few live tracks as well and they're actually better than the studio material. But it doesn't make me happy since I prefer the original versions. They have a live version of the Revolting Cocks classic "Beers, Steers and Queers". Sigh, why did they include this disgraceful cover here?
I wonder who will buy this kind of crap?
