ALBUM RE-CONSTRICTION RELEASE: SPRING 1999 REVIEW: JUNE 11, 1999

There seems to be quite a lot of American ebm coming out and some of it is alright. But one thing is for sure: this isn't even close to alright.
The music is simple and I wonder what will happen to prisoners if it was used as a part of torture? The vocalist sucks big time, and need some serious singing lessons. He's not even singing, it's more like hissing. This actually makes me hope that I one day will be able to be "vocalist" in an ebm or industrial band. Obviously, there are no demands for vocal ability at all. Oh, did I forget to mention that they use effects on the vocals? No surprise, I guess?
I shouldn't even bother to mention the samples but I am such a sadist. Jeff Hillard, "the sampling Stormtrooper", is just as nice to the listeners as the stormtroopers were towards Luke Skywalker.
What about the lyrics, you think, but I have to let you down. I am not that much of a sadist!
Oh yeah, I almost forgot, believe it or not, but there is actually a nice synth sound in the song "Tho Yo Rock".
