NO DECAY
SUPERNOVA
ALBUM SYNTHPHONY RELEASE: SPRING 1999 REVIEW: MAY 22, 1999

I can't remember when I last heard such a dull album as "Supernova". No Decay may not have been the most promising band in the world with their firstborn "Escape from Usual Life", but it created some expectations. Expectations that shatter as you listen to the new album. The catchy synthpop with likeable choruses, which were the hallmarks of the debut, are replaced by sloppy, ambient junk. I just can't imagine what they were thinking when they recorded this sleeping pill. "Deliberate", the only track worth mentioning, saves "Supernova" from an even lower grade. Wake up, lads!
