NO BIG SILENCE
SUCCESSFUL, BITCH AND BEAUTIFUL
ALBUM CYBERWARE RELEASE: JUNE 18, 2001 REVIEW: AUGUST 30, 2001

To review a band from Estonia is quite an unusual experience, and it being this good is probably even more unusual. This band consists of four blokes doing a kind of melodic electro metal, and they do it pretty well.
The band started as a death metal outfit called Aggressor in the early nineties, but has changed sound and attitude a lot since then. Today's version was conceived in 1995. They have consistently added more synthesizers to their music as the years have passed.
The twelve songs on the album get together quite nicely with a consistent sound throughout, even though some tracks are more electronic than others. Metal riffs melded with electronic sounds on top of rock song structures make an interesting mixture, and the vocals fit perfectly. I'm guessing a lot of the material here could work both on metal dance floors and the electro ditto.
It is nice to see an Estonian band, but don't buy it because of that. Buy it because it is good.
