FUNKER VOGT
WARZONE K17: LIVE IN BERLIN
DOUBLE DVD SYNTHETIC SYMPHONY RELEASE: MAY 25, 2009 REVIEW: JUNE 18, 2009

Were you surprised to see a Funker Vogt release with a title like this? They have been deeply cemented in the "war" and "soldier" themes since their shaky start in the mid nineties and show no sign of letting them go. "Warzone K17 - Live in Berlin" is a massive double DVD release packed with different live appearances as well as lots of bonus features.

As I am not really their biggest fan, it's quite the voyage to make it through two full DVD:s of Funker Vogt live and backstage. The included documentary "Wrestling, Shotguns, Trailer Parks" will probably be very entertaining. If you are German, that is, because even I with my six years of German in school can't keep up with the turbo driven language here. Why no subtitles? It also seems somewhat redundant to throw in even more gigs, with similar track listings even, on this release.

All in all, a professional DVD release, but as I see it only for the hardcore fans. And they are quite a few, judging from the turnout at their concerts.
