FUNKER VOGT
BLUTZOLL
ALBUM SYNTHETIC SYMPHONY, PLAYGROUND RELEASE: OCTOBER 22, 2010 REVIEW: NOVEMBER 11, 2010

You guessed it! Funker Vogt still go into their body bunker to mass produce formulaic dancefloor fodder about war, death and soldier life. "Blutzoll" carries on from whenever their last album was released and is repetition on a whole new level.

I have actually been a fan of mastermind Gerrit Thomas and his work with the more varied, electropop based, Ravenous project, but he refuses to provide Funker Vogt with a more complex sound frame. "Blutzoll", while not hopeless, just keeps feeding more of the same and it feels pointless to mention specific tracks.

Funker Vogt may be established and they may sell records still, but in my ears something has to happen musically very soon.
