DUAL DENSITY
SOUL ECSTASY
ALBUM CONZOOM RELEASE: JUNE, 2010 REVIEW: AUGUST 9, 2010

Germany's Conzoom Records have made a name for themselves by releasing the limited "Electro Pop" series (I think they're at number four now?), where new synthpop talent is given room to shine alongside more established acts. Dual Density is one of the newer ones and their dance tinged electropop impressed the label enough to let them record a full album.

"Soul Ecstasy" showcases a typically Swedish sound in that it has clever melodies and powerful choruses, but the lyrics would have benefited from a more patient screening. Grammatical flaws and wayward pronunciation are more linked with German bands, but the poetry of Dual Density will have to improve to take them further.

There are plenty of class tracks on "Soul Ecstasy" however, the title track being one of them. "Undress", "Fly the Galaxy" and "No Regrets" are other gems that would appeal to most synthpop fans.
