COLONY 5
REFIXED
REMIX ALBUM MEMENTO MATERIA RELEASE: DECEMBER, 2005 REVIEW: FEBRUARY 28, 2006

Here we go again. Remix mania. This time, a full album is put through the process of alternation. Colony 5 managed to deliver a decent third album last April and now, for reasons unknown, "Fixed" comes out again, with every song reworked by the Amplifier moniker.

Some tracks have been transformed from midtempo electropop to, errm..., midtempo electropop, while some, like "Fusion" (one of the best tracks on "Fixed") works wonders as a ballad. The majority is aimed directly at the dance floor, however, slightly sidestepping the ever present futurepop sound of original Colony 5.

For the hardcore fans, sure, but "Refixed" feels redundant from every angle.
