BIRMINGHAM 6
RESURRECTION
COMPILATION ALBUM COP, SSC/PLAYGROUND RELEASE: OCTOBER 25, 1999 (SCANDINAVIA) REVIEW: NOVEMBER 3, 1999

This Danish band have been around since 1991. They've worked with persons like Jean-Luc De Meyer and Claus Larsen.
When I listen to this good EBM I sometimes can refer to Front 242, like in the masterpiece “Israel”. This track actually has good lyrics, which is pretty rare when it comes to EBM. Sometimes the spirit of KMFDM is present, like in “All Around the Watchtower”. Even the vocals sound similar, but this is definitely better than most of the KMFDM stuff. When Birmingham 6 use guitars, they are balanced and really great so you won't have to cope with that irritating metal feeling.
This compilation consists of material from their early, now deleted releases. Most of the songs are definitely strong, but the two new remixed tracks, feel unnecessary.
