ARVID HUR KUNDE JAG LÅTA DET SKE 3" SINGLE WONDERLAND RELEASE: DECEMBER, 2008 REVIEW: JANUARY 27, 2009

I found my CD copies of the first two Ratata records a few years ago and they have been frequent tenants in my CD player since. The magical song writing, minimalistic electronic sound and Mauro Scocco's power chords will forever roam my heart. Retired Swedish trio Saft tried, and succeeded, in picking up their legacy and others have come close too, but newcomer hot shot Arvid does it perfectly. In a version for the new millennium.

We rarely review singles, as you all know, but this is simply too good to pass up! This 3" CD single is extremely limited (100 copies) as well, so act fast, if it's not already too late. The title track is a whirlwind of pop magic in its clever construction from laid back verse to insanely catchy chorus. Gorgeous synths and Arvid's potent vocals make this a future classic. The Swedish lyrics fill the void of the aforementioned Ratata and Saft, but also bear likeness to Adolphson & Falk.

An album is in the pipeline and should reach us before Spring arrives in Sweden. If it's anything like the two singles released so far (the first one being "I dina ögon", also limited 3" single), we're in for something extraordinary.
