Kent back with “999” in just a week

Mar 21, 2012 | By: Johan Carlsson (Stockholm, Sweden)

If you're on Twitter, you could follow an interesting (and drunk) Twitter drama where all four members of Kent posted about their adventures in Italy recently. And somewhere in the middle, they suddenly decided to announce their new single via the social network as well. Then the press release arrived.

The track is called "999", is 6.53 long, and it's out on March 28. It's closely followed by their tenth album "Jag är inte rädd för döden" (means I'm not afraid of death) on April 25.

As you might have read in our On Stage section, Kent is going on tour around Scandinavia this summer as well, in support of the album. They start in Helsinki, Finland on June 27, going through Sweden during the summer and ending in Bergen, Norway in August 25.

Another Skinny Puppy live album

Mar 21, 2012 | By: Johan Carlsson (Stockholm, Sweden)

Metropolis just announced that they're releasing a Skinny Puppy live album. It's called "Bootlegged, Broke and In Solvent Seas", and was recorded in Warsaw, Bratislava, Hildesheim and Budapest during their last tour. The material hasn't been edited or tinkered with, it sounds exactly as it sounded on the day. Look for it on June 12.

Assemblage 23 brings us "Bruise" in June

Mar 16, 2012 | By: Johan Carlsson (Stockholm, Sweden)

Tom Shear and his project Assemblage 23 gave us a really strong album last time, namely "Compass". It will be interesting to see how the follow-up sounds, and we will soon find out, as "Bruise" comes out on June 12, via Metropolis. As is the norm these days, it will come as a two disc special edition with an extra CD with exlusive tracks and remixes by folks such as Daniel Myer and Grendel.
