March 30, 2010 | By: Johan Carlsson (London, UK)

Swedish label Progress Productions keeps bringing us new electronic signings. Now it's time for the Swedish/Norwegian trio Code 64, that has previously released two really good albums on other labels.

Bjørn Marius Borg, Christian Espeland and Hans-Olof Mattsson make up the band 2010, as former singer Henrik Piehl has left. Vocal duties are now handled by his replacement Bjørn.

Together they have made "Trialogue", the full length scheduled for late summer or early autumn. Two singles will be pulled from it, the first one being "Stasis", a dancey club track out on April 21.

On August 28, Jean Michael Jarre, Röyksopp and two small synthpop bands will perform outdoors at the Akershus Fortress in Oslo. There will be heavy fireworks of course, but the fortress from 1299 was built to withstand furious Swedes and Danes and will most likely survive one single Frenchman.

More Jean Michael outdoor mega shows will be announced shortly.

- It's no secret that the "Rocket Science" album and tour came at a difficult time for the band. Like a fly on the wall, I was present during these weeks of touring, hardship, tears, parties, laughter, love and moments of uncontrolled folly, he says.

The rather expensive book (USD 96.70) is out now.
