The old EBM hit "Abattoir" from German duo X Marks the Pedwalk has just been reissued by Infacted Recordings as an eleven track mini-CD. It includes the previously unreleased track "The Killing Had Begun". We frequently played the "Abattoir" 12" in our club Electric Café in the early/mid-90:s.

This is the third product in Infacted's classics series, after Tribantura and Shift. The next release will be "Push" from The Invincible Spirit on August 28.

Roof collapsed during Feindflug concert

July 22, 2009 | By: Mikael Kahrle (Gothenburg, Sweden)

During Feindflug's performance at the Amphi Festival in Cologne last weekend, two square meters of the floor fell down onto the stage and bursted into small bits. Noone was injured, but the stage manager decided to close the venue Rheinparkhalle.

The festival quickly rearranged the nearby Theater, which was initially used for DVD presentations and disco. The only band left on Saturday, Laibach, was able to play 23:45 and on Sunday all indoor concerts were held at the Theater. Qntal started 50 minutes after their scheduled slot, but this was due to two late musicians.

Amphi had 13 000 visitors each day (it was rather crowded at times) and have already started to book artists for 2010 (on July 24-25). 34 bands performed on two stages this year.

Four years of silence ended

July 16, 2009 | By: Peter Marks (Portland, Oregon)

"Fucking Whore Society" (Cyclic Law) is the title of Karjalan Sissit's fifth album, which has just been released. The musical output of Karjalan Sissit rivals In Slaughter Natives in terms of brutality, although, the information from Cyclic Law bills this as the most vitriolic, ruthless, obscure Sissit album yet. A vodka-fuelled bombastic opus, to be more specific.

"Fucking Whore Society" has been produced by Peter Bjargo (Sophia, Victoria and Arcana) so one may be assured no one's asleep at the controls. Apparently, the sound of the band has expanded to include ambient influence and also flat out revolt against the state of the world.
