The private lives of Mr. Maxted

August 13, 2008 | By: Peter Marks (Portland, Oregon, USA)

Now out via Mordant Music is the debut album entitled "Lives and Privacy 94-89", by an enigma known only as Mr. Maxted. This record is issued on vinyl only and has been described as early Portion Control meets Severed Heads. Having listened to this work, we can easily say it is one of the nicest things to have graced Release's turntable this year (or, any year for that matter). To say that this latest issuance from MM is prescient would be an understatement.

Sound samples are available at Mordant Music's site along with purchasing options.

Former Front Line Assembly drummer Adrian White has just joined Celebutante, an electro/rock/pop outfit started by a guy named Mitchell Sigman. Adrian will play drums, and you can listen to their entire album here: http://www.celebusite.com/.

Furthermore, Adrian is getting a tour with his own project Silent Alarm together for the fall. He's currently in the studio with his singer Louise (coincidentally Celebutantes live synth player) and a producer called Futcher creating more songs.
