Eighties pop events still well..., pop up.

The Human League, Belinda Carlisle, ABC, Dead or Alive, A Flock of Seagulls and Naked Eyes will do a US "Regeneration Tour", starting in Phoenix, Arizona, on August 1. We will not make a joke calling it a "Degeneration Tour"...

Here in Europe, we get the Esbjerg "Rock" Festival in southern Denmark on June 14, with Howard Jones, Nik Kershaw, Kim Wilde, Kajagoogoo feat. Limahl and others.


Front 242 and Moonspell to M'era Luna

M'era Luna fest has hired Front 242, Moonspell and Delain. Previosuly announced headliners include Apoptygma Berzerk, DAF, Elegant Machinery, Combichrist, Hocico, Apocalyptica and Mesh.

Das Boot has announced the electronic live headliner for this year's cruise from Stockholm on December 4-5: VNV Nation. This is their second cruise gig.


Kent "Generation Ex" single release includes new song

Kent has released "Generation Ex", another single off "Tillbaka till samtiden". This one includes the title song, unreleased track "Det kanske kommer en förändring" and a remix of "Berlin" from Simon Brenting. Video here.

Kent have added four stops to their summer tour (see On Stage) in Strömstad, Helsingborg, Copenhagen and Norrköping.


New Birthday Massacre EP coming up - video online now

On May 2, Canadian The Birthday Massacre release their brand new EP "Looking Glass" with its main track taken from last year's album "Walking with Strangers". The video for the song may already be enjoyed online since the band has published it on both Youtube and their Myspace.

The director of the video, Dan Oellette, has also posted some interesting details regarding the process of making it over at The Birthday Massacre Myspace blog.

The eight track EP includes a remix by Dean Garcia (Curve), one by Dave Ogilivie and Matthew Moldowan, the wonderful web site instrumental "Nowhere" and unrelased song and a cover ("I Think We’re Alone Now").


Next CD from Red Cell on May 14

The next release from Progress Productions is going to be the new album "Lead or Follow" from Red Cell on May 14.

The Swedish EBM act has thrown away the crossover elements and this time they aim at hard club electronics with strong melodies. The artwork will be made by American artist Alex Eckman-Lawn.
