New Delerium album on November 21 and big break in UK

Delerium's next album is called "Poem" and will be out in North America on November 21. As of now, no release date is set for the rest of the world. Nettwerk states that a European release will take place somewhere during the first half of 2001.
As usual, Delerium has hired several guest artists. This time we get to hear Leigh Nash (Sixpence None the Richer), Aude, Mediaeval Babes, Jennifer McLaren, Rani, Joanna Stevens (Solar Twins), Kirsty Hawkshaw and Matthew Sweet.
"Poem" will also be delivered in a limited edition with a four track extra disc. This disc includes the single track "Silence" featuring Sarah McLachlan. It is taken from the 1997 (!) album "Karma". The single has surprisingly reached number three in the UK single charts now and is the big break for Delerium in the territory. TV and airplay rotation, media coverage - the big machinery is on. Delerium has even been invited to Top of the Pops, the TV show that these days is dominated mostly by boy and girl bands. It's not certain if they will accept. Good old Bill might need to think twice. Who would have thought something like this could happen, having the old extreme industrial ambient Delerium stuff in mind? What a laugh. /Mikael Kahrle, Johan Carlsson

Noise band causes tinnitus?
Swedish noise band Institut has just released the album "Great Day to Get Even" on Cold Meat Industry. They made a bit of a name for themselves earlier this year with gigs at Wave Gothic Treffen and Eurorock. Another show, at the Museum of Art in the Swedish town Norrköping, ended with an unnamed British artist claiming that it had given him tinnitus, and threatening to send the band his medical bill. /Kristoffer Noheden

Now, Funkstar de Luxe puts out a remix album called "Keep on Moving (It's Too Funky in Here)"on Edel/Hypnotic (ex EBM label Hard Records) with house versions of classics from Grace Jones, James Brown and others.

"Du bist es nicht wert" from their latest album "Fortschritt" is included and has also been reworked and is then called "Du bist es (immer noch)". The reason to purchase the EP is the four new songs, however, where Melotron shows what high quality electropop with German lyrics can be like today.
"Fortschritt" was licensed to WT2 in the US in September. WT2 is the electronic follow-up to the legendary Wax Trax! label.
